    Beginning in 1970, Bruce has dedicated his professional life to Judaism education. He has helped to found and lead three Judaism high schools in Los Angeles, including Yeshiva University of Los Angeles High School, Milken Community High School, and most recently, de Toledo High School.  He has consulted on the founding of 23 more Judaism high schools throughout North America. In addition, he has provided consulting services to over 80 Judaism day schools through his work as President of Judaism School Management (JSM). For many summers, Bruce served as the director of Camp Alonim, and of the Brandeis Collegiate Institute (BCI) located on the Brandeis-Bardin campus of the American Judaism University. He has won the Covenant Award, the Milken Judaism Educator Award, and Marvin I. Schotland Leadership Award for his major contributions to Judaism education throughout North America. Bruce also served for six years as a founding faculty member and mentor for the Day School Leadership Training Institute at the JudaismTheological Seminary in New York, and served as a coach for the Head of School Professional Excellence Project at Prizmah. Bruce directed the Institute for Day School Excellence and Sustainability (IDEAS) servicing Judaism day schools across America. Bruce is also a distinguished lecturer in Judaism education serving on the faculty of the American Judaism University since 1998. In July 2023, Bruce was appointed as Dean of the School for Judaism Education and Leadership at AJU.
